Plastic Greenhouse + snails/slugs?

Has anyone attempted to put one of these plastic greenhouses (shelving with clear plastic cover over top) in garden (eg near grass etc) and, if so, still had problems with snails/slugs?

My garden is like snail central and I'm concerned that as it has no base they are simply going to crawl up the shelving and eat everything.....

Has anyone come up with a solution? I was thinking of placing it over a layer of bubble wrap and then taping this to the base?

any thoughts????

thanks!!!

The chemical approach is to use slug pellets (stand the legs in cups of slug pellets mixed with eggshells. An alternative organic approach is to put copper tape round the pots or legs of the shelving. Apparently slugs cant abide copper.

I'd rather not use pellets - was also thinking I could simply place the greenhouse over a thick binliner and tape it round the edges????

as long as they aren't able to chew through it!!!!
