Pigging frost!

It has killed all the new growth coming through on my beech hedging with the result that the garden looks like it has been napalmed. What do I do? Leave the dead leaves on as protection against the bloody frosts predicted for the next few days or chop it back and hope it grows back?

And all my tomato plants are dead. Wailey wailey wailey.

Please sympathise.

Thank you.

Oh no! Where are you?

No idea about beech hedging, sorry - I suspect probably best to leave it be until the frosts are gone?

We're in Luxembourg and woke up to heavy frost this morning and by this afternoon the tops and sides of my beautiful bright green hedges were all wrinkled and brown. It looks awful. Really awful. I think I have to wait but it is horrid.

Another frost last night and my hedges are awful. We put them in 6 years ago intendimg that they would last a lifetime. Ah well, maybe they will recover.
