chicken shit smell- please help!

We have stupidly spread chicken shit pellets on the lawn and now it stinks to high heaven :( Does anyone know the best way to get rid of it (the smell) and how long it will take, please? Can't believe what a mess of the garden we have made for the bank holidays! We did it on Thursday night by the way. This is Smelly Day 3.
Any serious advice gratefully received.

I think it takes weeks. My neighbour did it some years ago (during that very hot summer of 04) and it did reek. Sorry but not sure what you can do about it.

it usually desperses fairly quickly in water which breaks it down and lets it absorb into the soil. Have you tried a sprinkler on the law for a while. You might find the concentration of it also kills patches of your lawn though
