Are you watering already??!

I have a very new garden in that I have recently planted lots of young trees, shrubs and other plants. We have a heavy clay soil which looks incredibly dry so I'm watering them every day. I have noticed that none of my neighbours are doing this so wondering if I'm being a bit OTT??

No you're not, I've also just planted up new borders with young plants that have yet to establish themselves, so I've been watering my garden for the past three weeks! ...my water butt has run dry!!!

I am watering a whole load of new trees, shrubs and turf and have been for weeks, our garden is very very dry.

No you are not.New planting needs lots of water at first so carry on!
