I've planted 'cup and saucer' and 'morning glory' seeds on windowsill. Hoping to transplant them to cover archway in (tiny) garden. If they germinate (!) how quickly will they grow and flower?

Pretty quickly I think. Morning Glory is basically a (pretty and less invasive) form of bindweed, and that grows like anything!

There was a Morning Glory when we moved in to our house in August 09 and it was flowering then (sadly it bit the dust owing to our extension) but I don't know how long it had been flowering at that point. Presumably it had self-seeded as I don't think the people we bought the house from (children of the previous owners who had both sadly died within months of each other) had been doing much more with the garden than just keeping it tidy.

I'm sure I read somewhere that Cup & Saucer is pretty rampant too.

I'm growing some sweet peas and they are already a good 6ins tall 21 days after planting from seed!
