Bumping as I've been looking at getting greenhouse too!
assume you would be after an aluminium frame rather then wood on the budget. I know that most older grey aluminium tends to look a bit weathered, not sure if the newer ones weather better or if the green ones last well? I've taken a fancy to a green one myself - does anyboy else have one of these?

I'd always pay for safety glass rather then standard glass - much safer with children and less likely to break if you knock pots etc against the glass.

Thanks for bumping Cuppa -agree the green ones look much better - anyone recommend an online supplier?Any general tips or advice for greenhouse novice?
Essentially it is to grow tomatoes, peppers etc and provide a sunbathing zone for fmily cat!

We have just bought a Rhino from Greenhouses direct. It was (rather a lot) more than £500, but it is 14 x 8 which I'm guessing might be rather bigger than you want :) (I've linked to their smaller cheaper range!)

We haven't put it up yet so can't give definite opinions, but they delivered when they said, it looks sturdy, was very well packaged and the instructions for putting it together look clear and thorough, so so far so good. We did pay for safety glass and it came with some free staging which is good as it is very useful.

You can get polycarnbonate greenhouses, instead of having glass in them. I think one called palram silverline has clear polycarbonate rather than the slightly frosted ones.
