Can you mow or strim wet grass?

Hi

As title says, really! We are having a viewing on Saturday and the grass is really long. I left it yesterday as it was raining but today looks like the sunniest day in our area before Saturday, so would be best day to cut it.

I have just taken some leaves off the top but the grass is still really wet - not surprising as although it is sunny it is very cold. (Not icy now though). I don't really expect it to get any drier, so should I cut it or leave it? I don't want long grass for the viewing, but neither to I want horrible mud patches either.

Advice from people who know what they're doing would be gratefully received!Smile

When we've done it it always chews up the grass so we end up with uneven mowing and clumps of mud.

Good luck with the viewing.

Thanks! I was impatient and did it anyway with the strimmer, result wasn't brilliant but better than it was before.
