I dug up my dahlias and hung them up in the greenhouse. Last nighr we had a frost and the tubers now feel soft. Does this mean I have killed them? I know I should have put them in sand or something but I just didn't know where to put them as the greenhouse is unheated. Thanks

I dug up my Dahlia's yesterday too and wrapped them in bubblewrap and put them in the shed - i'm hoping that will do the trick as last year the frost killed them whilst in the ground!

Not sure if that helps as this is my first year of digging them up! Guess we'll find out when we replant them Smile

Probably frosted - if they are they will get softer and start to rot. You could cut away all the soft tubers (assuming some are still firm) and as long as they still are attached to a stalk / stem they should be OK
