hi there,
we are lucky to have a big pear trea at the bottom of the garden, first year we lived here no pears and past 2 TONNES!! they keep falling onto the grass and the wasps and local wildlife (inner city!) are having a field day! any tips on how to manage this? plus will the pears come out every year from now on?

Fruit trees sometimes have a bumper year and then a quiet one but yes you should get some every year. Best thing to do is pick them before they drop or shovel up the droppings asap (wear long sleeves and gloves) You could make the pears in to chutney I think?
