Can anyone help? I have a bay tree in a pot that is now completely covered in black flies - they aren''t house flies, they are a bit thinner and flatter. Last month it was covered in blue bottles - could these be young ones? I was going to spray it with a mixture of water, washing up liquid and vinegar - would this damage the plant?
