How far apart do I plant?

Have bought 10 Lleylandi trees to plant as a hedge in front garden.
How far apart do I plant them in order to give them enough space to grow, but not to look straggly?

About two feet apart I would estimate.

How wide and how tall are they now?

AlisonDubois · 19/08/2010 19:39

They are about 3ft tall and 1ft wide at the moment.

Two feet apart sounds about right then, What do you think?

AlisonDubois · 19/08/2010 20:31

No idea, that's why I askedSmile

How long is the length of the garden where you want the hedge to go?

AlisonDubois · 20/08/2010 20:08

36ft.
Have been looking in other peoples front gardens that have them, and am suprised by how close together they seem to be planted.

Don't do it! Lleylandi are a curse, having no place outside of a forest. You may not be bothered by neighbours but in 3/5 years time these monsters could be blocking light from your home and beds below them will be dead space. Fine if you have serious space to fill.
