I had 3 grow bags of potatoes which I have just taken out yesterday. I am a complete novice - can I plant something else in them now (if so, what?) or do I need to wait until next year? And what do I do with the soil, use the same again or do I need to add something to it as all the good stuff has been taken by the potatoes?

Dry the spuds a bit then store them in hessian or paper bags (so they do not sweat) in the DARK or they will go green and inedible.

You need to rotate your veg so do not plant spuds in that space untill the 3rd year minimum.

And you can plant some winter veg in the space (leeks? brassicas?) see separate thread.

thanks for the advice mmb. will have a look for the winter veg thread, leeks sound good, anything but kale!
