Mouse in garden - help

dc spotted it on a lowish bird nut holder a few days back (now moved higher) but it seems to have got bolder and I've just spotted it about 12ft from house. Tips to keep them away please !

Bird feeders always attract mice ..don't think theres much you can do really ..my bird feeding neighbours garden is full of mice ..my terrier dog seems to keep them out of my garden

There will be a lot of mice in every garden. Honestly.

The good thing I heard was that if you have mice it means you don't have rats!

Agree with weegiemum - there are a lot of mice in every garden. The FSC (I think?) have data on average garden inhabitants, and it's some totally bizarre number.

Buy a cat?

I wouldn't worry. They are harmless. They are not in the house.

Dunno about being harmless - they gnaw stuff at very least. Guess you're right about being everywhere though , and at least not indoors but it rather puts me off leaving the back door open ! Got cats living either side, squirrels and possibly a fox still. Next door have chickens which is probably an attraction too

We saw a mouse in our garden a few weeks ago - I was DELIGHTED - lovely cute wee thing. As long as they're not in the house what harm are they doing?

I just had a removals man giving me a quote and when I opened the garden door to show him the garden furniture he said " oh look you've got a present"
It was a dead mouse lying beside the garden door - thanks to our cat!

We use good old fashioned mouse traps... also I send the dog out, that keeps them (and the rabbits, squirrels and everything else vermin like) at bay...

You can get humane traps, but I can't be arsed.

bum , saw it squeezing between a gap in the pointing, below our floor level today Does that mean they could get into the house ? :(
