talk to me about flying ants

have just discovered a shed load on my patio. why are they there and what can i do about them?

nothing they will fly away. mil puts hot water on them really no need

There's another thread about them on the go somewhere. They're swarming everywhere today. Don't worry about it, they'll be gone by tomorrow. It happens every year.
