Hartpury college A levels waitlist

Hi dd(16) has on offer from Hartpury College for A levels starting in September. She plays girls rugby to a very good standard and will be joining their rugby academy. We live 2hrs drive away and have applied for accommodation but just been told today they are full and dd is on their waitlist. We knew accommodation is always over subscribed but she is gutted - dh even talking about moving house so she can still go. Anybody have any recent experience of actually getting accommodation there from the waitlist or do we seriously need to consider other options?

Have you had a look at private student accom? A lot of students will be living in either Upper Quay, or Shaftesbury Hall, because the college typically doesn't have enough rooms for the amount of students (although she may get in off the waitlist!). The private halls are a mix of Uni of Gloucester students and Hartpury College students, but when you book you can contact them and specify which your DD is attending so that she is put with others at the same college.

Shaftesbury Hall, Cheltenham Accommodation | Collegiate

Thankyou - not sure I’d be comfortable with her not being on campus at 16 but will take a look.
