Is an access to uni course in Biology/ chemistry as hard as biology and chemistry Alevels?

My dd has been poorly the past 3 years . Think she had 2x 7s and 1x6 in her 3 science GCsEs but was Covid year so didn’t sit them .

Wants to do the above access but I’m worried about how hard the chemistry bit will be. She only has to do a science access and likes biology but there is no biology alone in our area.

So does anybody know. Her brother did chemistry alevel so I know how hard it is even for A grade students who haven’t been ill.

Can you post a link to the course that your dd is considering taking OP? You can pm me it if you like.
I teach A level Chemistry so may be able to check it for you.

Hope that helps

I did an Access course 2 years ago, but I'm in Northern Ireland so don't know if it's different where you are. If it's the same honestly the biology and chemistry was a lot easier than standard A levels (I'd started a levels at 6th form but had to drop out).
If she does 'foundations in chemistry' it's easy however the advanced one is a lot more difficult

No.

My DD did one a couple of years ago.

Hers was you chose three out of the four of maths, physics, chemistry.

The maths part was about two thirds of the a level and she topped up herself and sat a level maths as a private candidate.

And biology, sorry, that was the one she didn't choose.
