Reigate College waiting list

DD is in year 11 and We are on the waiting list for Reigate college. We live 3 train stops away so no round the corner.
Due to the number of applicants, they are currently considering all candidates in Categories A to H but we are in category I hence we are in the waiting list.

has anyone been in the same position as us? What chance we have to actually have a place?

I haven’t been in the same position but know a lot of parents of kids applying to private schools will hold a place at sixth form colleges just in case their kids don’t get the required grades. So there will be places at sixth form colleges released after GCSE results. Friends of mine were offered places for their kids at Reigate College and Esher College then. They had by that point given up and committed to other schools so were all annoyed it had come late. But this is when most places will be released.
