My DS has such appalling handwriting that he used a laptop for his GCSEs and will do so for A levels as well. He has just started Y12 and is taking English/hums subjects which involve a lot of note-taking and his notes are largely illegible. I want to get him a light -weight cheap laptop so that he can take notes on it. He has a gaming laptop but that's obviously too expensive and heavy (and loud!) to be taking to school every day. The new one would really just need Word and internet access. Although I want to spend as little as possible, I want something that does actually work, so any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
