Combined science for medicine

Hi, can anyone clarify whether having combined science GCSEs (grades 9 8) will be a barrier to applying for medicine please? At time, did was unsure of future plans and school, in spite of offering triple, said it was no problem. She is taking chemistry, biology and psychology a levels. Can anyone confirm whether this is an issue please? I thought it was ok but have heard otherwise from someone else!

completely fine. Ignore anyone who says different

Absolutely fine, we often have one apply with combined.

It won't be an issue with those grades. Some schools don't offer triple, and med schools don't want to shut those students out.

@Laurahs There is usually lots of advice on applying for medicine on the Higher Education board. Loads of very knowledgeable people there and you need to do the research pretty early about where to apply to.

No issue at all

Not a problem with those grades.
Higher grades at combined science would be viewed better than lower grades on all 3 Sciences.
