Does anyone know how this is assessed? If it’s all internal assessments or if there is end of year exams?
the college is shut and doesn’t say online.

I dont know for sure but would expect some kind of exam even if just on health and safety in the workplace etc.
If you go onto the Pearson website and search you should be able to find the spec for the course which will say how it is examined.

My dd is currently doing this at 6th form and has coursework and exams

Bobbinsbop · 03/03/2023 21:17

Thank you I thought it would be both but dd is convinced it’s just assessments.

My Dd is doing level 3 at college. It is mainly coursework but also has 2 end of year exams at the end of each year. I imagine level 2 would be similar

I teach the level 2 btec. Its equivalent to gcse and Its a terminal exam in yr 11 (or the second year) and 2 controlled assessments (PSAs) that have replaced the course work we used to do.

Used to be a lovely accessible course and btec have ruined it!

The level 3 course is different.
