Wanting to become a midwife

kylierose15 · 12/11/2022 20:12

Hello, I'm 33 and just had my second baby (5months)
I would really love to train to become a midwife or something on the lines of that.
Am I too old?
How do I go about doing it.
Thank you x

Hi, have you seen the mature students section? Lots of midwife students on there.

Definitely not too old, I think they’d be delighted to have more midwives in the profession. My reservation would be the very difficult working conditions that midwives are experiencing currently - I’d try to find someone who is doing the job at the moment and ask lots and lots of questions so you know what you are getting into

I believe they're starting apprenticeships for this. It would be the best way to train! Good luck OP x
