DC1 will be applying for 6th form for entry for Sept 2022. He is keen on Camden School for Girls but am a bit worried about his patchy GCSE predictions. These are not set in stone yet but I can’t see them going up significantly after the end of Year 10 exams. He is predicted high grades in the subjects he likes (and those he would like to do for A-level) but is scraping a pass in his 3 weakest subjects.
We don’t know anyone with DCs there and last year’s open day was cancelled because of Covid. Does anyone know what kind of GCSE profile is likely to result in an offer? I get the impression the school is massively oversubscribed which am afraid is going to mean the need for a solid set of GCSE results across the board for those applying externally.
