L3 Creative Media Diploma - examples of good reflective journals

My daughter is in Y1 of a L3 Creative Media extended diploma. We've been told that the reflective journal aspect carries more weight than the practical project in Y1. One of the reasons dd wanted to do the L3 diploma instead of A Levels was the practical elements of the course and she is struggling with the journal part. I've been trying to help by looking for examples of good journals but am not really sure what is good and what isn't. Does anyone have any examples, or some guidance on this?

I found this video helpful to get started (9) Self-Reflective Journal Writing.mp4 - on YouTube. I have to do a reflective journal for a different discipline, but the tutors are looking to see evidence that the student is thinking about what they have learned (link to theory), what they have tried and what they will do differently another time. I try to do an entry every week and cover something I have read, something I have watched, or something we have been discussing in class.

Does she have access to a college library? She should be able to get hold of Stella Cottrell's fab book Skills for Success - p182-185 but the whole book is worth buying second hand and dipping into as she studies.
