Art Foundation Manchester Met or Leicester De Montfort

DS1 has had an offer from Leicester De Montfort for an Art and Design Foundation year for weeks but when we visited unis he preferred Manchester Met.
However they hadn't provided him an offer (app process closed 14th Feb!) and so he had got round to the idea of going to Leicester, assuming the worst.
However after chasing Manchester Met again they have now said he is getting an offer but they are very late with them because of IT issues. We have no details of the offer yet. Hopefully an email will come 'by the end of the week'
Now he doesn't know what to do! He has to accept or reject Leicester by Friday....
Does anyone have experience of either course and would they recommend the course in question. He would be living away for both so accommodation is a factor.
He will prob want to move after the year ti another uni for a degree.
Tbh Manchester Met have been so poor with their admissions process I don't think it bodes well....
