Where you can put in the course or subject area you're interested in and predicted grades and it spits out all the universities that fit the bill?

DS about to take GCSEs and I know uni choices is something we need to be aware of but no clue how to start narrowing it down!

Thanks.

You can do it on UCAS!

digital.ucas.com/coursedisplay/results/courses

You'll need to use the filters menu to select the degree subject(s) of interest, and the tariff points you'll need to get in - UCAS also have a page to help you convert your predicted grades to tariff points:

www.ucas.com/ucas/tariff-calculator

You can also filter by regions etc. if location is important.

Unifrog possibly. Subject league tables (sort by entry tariff). UCAS used to have an offer predictor tool but not any longer. Any reason why good old fashioned website trawling isn't possible? Narrow down 30 places by location, course content etc, then look at grades for each.

Ask your school if they have a subscription to Unifrog or Bridge-U, many do. If they don't, suggest Bridge-U, it's free for schools now. Both do exactly what you're looking for.

If not, as above- use the ucas site, or there's a book which lists courses and unis by minimum requirements: try searching for HEAP guide, although most schools will have it in the library.

Not aware of any where you can put your expected grades in but there are several that allow you to search the courses available broken down by subject and geographical area.
UCAS itself will show you available courses if you know your subject area of interest.

Some places to start:
www.ucas.com/explore/subjects
www.thecompleteuniversityguide.co.uk/courses
www.theuniguide.co.uk/

I'm sure there are more.

This one lets you put grades in - pick a course and search and on the next page it lets you add predicted grades

Thank you. It's all so overwhelming and ds is equally clueless. Some good places to start.
