Hi
Ds signed up for a BTEc level 3 extended diploma which he’s due to start tomorrow but college rang him last week and said they were doing a NCFE national extended diploma instead which still allowed him to get UCAS points and was equal to 3 A levels as well as a btec but there were no external exams. Is it still regarded? Subject is sport science

The government in its stupidity wisdom decided to stop funding BTEC where there is a 'T Level'.

In practice, this probably means the same teachers who have been delivering BTEC Level 3 are now delivering this T Level, probably with BTEC materials because there aren't enough new materials about.

This is my opinion but I think these will go the way GNVQs went, but the college won't have any choice.

Its not a Btec but it's like a Btec just a different exam board. Most well known for the CACHE (previously NNEB) qualification
