Year 12 exam results

Dd1 has just got Bs in her Y12 PPEs.

Does that mean she's on a trajectory for B grades as the course will get harder next year or does it mean she could feasibly build up to As for next year?

The Uni courses that she's interested in require AAB and ABB.

Not an expert but I would have thought that there's a good chance of her grades improving with hard work and a normal year.

My dd has finished her A levels this year (or the exams and assessments which replaced them).
In the last report we had, her grades had dropped compared with the previous year. She said that her friends' grades had also dropped. So if your dd is getting Bs after 16 months of disruption to her education, she's doing really well.

I hope it's possible to improve because DS got BCD this year after mostly A and A* at GCSE.

Fingers crossed they stay in school all year and if she works hard she should be able to get those grades up. Like your DD, DS needs AAB / ABB for his choice of university course so his first task is to convince his teachers to give him the predicted grades he needs.

Ok thank you so much for feedback, dd is in very able classes where a lot of the students are already getting As so it's difficult to know what's to be expected!

Well it probably depends on how much work she did towards these exams, and how muck work she's prepared to do for the actual exams. If she hardly revised this time, is she likely to revise more next time?

Also has she actually had her official UCAS predictions from school yet - those will be the ones the unis make their offers on.

Lanique · 03/07/2021 13:09

Seeline she did revise pretty diligently, yes and she's been working consistently hard all year to keep on top of it all. I imagine when she does her A levels she'll revise extra hard for them!

And no, Uni predictions haven't been given out yet.
