Strodes or Esher College?

Can anyone give me an opinion on both Strodes and Esher College please? DS is trying to decide which one would be most suitable. Many thanks.

I know about Esher College. Friend have had their children at stroudes.

Of my two, one had a fabulous experience at Esher, the other was quite frankly horrid. So much so our youngest went to a sixth form in Thames ditton instead (flourished there).

For my friend, while stroudes was good, they had a lot of trouble getting to school on tie due to needing to change trains at Weybridge and lots of rail disruption.

Anyone know how big the class sizes are at both Esher and Strodes?

My DC who did not do well was focusing mostly on doing drama. We had some serious issues with the drama teacher, a lot of favouritism etc. Extremely poor biased recommendation afterwards too that cost them places at uni and drama school. We only found out about that when after an audition for uni (drama course) they were asked to explain about the “recommendation”. Thankfully this uni knew there were likely much more to the situation. Our D.C. then not only graduated uni but also was later accepted to prestigious drama school for a masters in drama. Graduated with distinction too. I’m sorry but I can’t recall about class sizes. I do know that some classes fill up quickly as our eldest could not get all the classes they wanted.

Thanks LongTimeMamaBear. Unfortunately in many places of education there will always be favouritism - at least your DC had a positive outcome - a testament to their obvious talent.

Although it is quite easy to find reviews about Esher there are hardly any for Strodes. Would really appreciate any thoughts on Strodes.
