Hi all,

I am currently a LSA working in an international school overseas (Europe) I have a diploma in Crime Scene Recovery and have various different qualifications gained over the last 14 years. I have been assisting in schools for three years and am looking at careers once we return to the UK. I’m very interested in the above types of jobs. For the Early help Key Worker a key requirement is a recognised level 4 professional qualification in youth work, social services etc. Can anyone recommend courses/ distance learning courses that would fit with this requirement? Any help/advice would be appreciated. Thank you.

Level four is equivalent to the first full year of a degree, so you could look at distance learning degrees in an appropriate field. The problem being you are unlikely to be able to start one until next September/October. Look at The Open University and search in general for online degree courses in the subject areas you are looking at e.g. Early Childhood, Social Work
