Sixth Form/colleges - SW/SE/Central London

Hello everyone,

My Son is in Year 11 at school in Fulham.
Academically he’s predicted a mixture of 4s and 5s for his GCSEs.
He’s interested in Business, English and psychology and is looking at A levels in these subjects or a Btec in business.

Can anyone personally recommend any state or independent schools, not super high academic entry requirements that we could realistically apply to for 2021 whose deadlines we haven’t missed?

I know of St Francis Xavier 6th form in Clapham.

He’d like a fresh start so won’t stay at his current school.

Thank you in advance.

Is Chislehurst on the edge of SE London easy for you to get to? Bullers Wood take boys in sixth form and is highly respected and most A levels require a 5 which is lower than some of the more academic institutions. They also do Psychology which many sixth forms don’t do.

Thanks PettsWoodParadise. It does seem a bit far out but I’ll definitely take a closer look.
Many thanks.

Sydenham and Forest Hill? No personal experience, but a friend's DC did well there.

Have you looked at Esher College in Surrey? My DD has really enjoyed it and they have a much larger variety of courses, being a sixth form only college. Students are from all walks of life and the college has a great reputation. Not sure if it is too far for you - we live in Southfields, and my DD takes the tube to Wimbledon and the train to Thames Ditton - takes approx 40 min door to door.
