Does parental savings affect student loan?

I was wondering if parental savings affect contribution to student maintenance loan? This year, DS on full grant as pandemic has wiped away our family business. We have managed to sell our rental property so now have £20000 in savings (as of yesterday) . Will thus mean that we will need to make a big contribution to DS's student maintenance loan now we have some capital?

No I am pretty sure it’s on household income alone.

Income from savings / dividends etc is taken into account as I recall

mainly based on income. I think interest on savings is classed as 'any other income', but that won't be a lot these days!
