MA International Relations vs Global Diplomacy

Hi! I’m considering applying to do a part time MA course to broaden my future prospects.
For context I currently work for an international organisation in a extremely specific technical field. I’m interested into branching out into higher level policy and strategy areas. A lot of the job descriptions for those type of jobs are seeking more social science degrees, rather than the physical science I have.
I’ve seen a few courses that seem be suitable, but does anyone know if a Global Diplomacy MA is equivalent to International Relations MA? (Or is seen to be the same?)

TIA

Hi. I’m an HE adviser and suggest you look closely at the degree content. As you know an MA requires a dissertation so if you know what you want to write about, then maybe work backwards for this to see whether the MA will support your interests. Global Diplomacy MA is at SOAS and focussed on government policy as well as negotiations. International Relations is taught at several universities and is possibly less aimed at government. For example the KCL looks at monetary policy, the impact of the media as well as international organisations and regional integration. There may be some topics that cross over, but some preliminary research would really help you. The QMUL degree looks quite different - so draw a comparison between your top 3 universities before you decide. I hope this helps.
