Has anyone trained to be a nurse if you already have a degree in other subjects?
If so how do you go about this? Id love to retrain!

Depending on what you studied previously, there are slightly shortened courses available. I was offered a shortened course as I had a biology degree. Might be worth looking into to save some time and money.

You can do a PGDip at Southampton with a 2:ii in any subject: https://www.southampton.ac.uk/healthsciences/postgraduate/taughtcourses/pgdippadultnursing.page#entryyrequirements%0A__

Nottingham uni also do a two year post grad nursing course- you don't need a relevant subject either .

Look up nursing courses available on the RCN site. They are the royal college of nursing.

I was just about to post a similar thread. You can update your Sciences knowledge with individual modules available through distance learning, but check with institute as they set the entry requirements.

Thankyou for all the replies and help!
does anyone know about fees? Or if these courses are really full on or part time so that working in-between for financial stability is still doable?
