Grading Btec course after decisions about A levels 2020 released

I am wondering what the advice is likely to be regarding Btec grades needed for Uni 2020 after the details were released about A level grading.
DS doing a Btec, on track for D D D and almost all units completed now after a push from online tutoring at the College.
However, he has Grade 5's and Grade 6's from all 8 GCSE s but no 7's.

I am concerned that if the Awarding body takes GCSE grades into account they .might say its overgrading for the Btec even tho the grades are achieved for the units now.

The external standards verification process from Btec has been suspended at the moment, so there is no way of confirming the grades thro the external process at the moment.
Uni entry us dependent on DDM so hoping he can maintain his grades really.
Thoughts anyone?

Am wondering the same thing - Pearson put a notice up online which suggests they intend to follow the same grading as A-levels and GCSEs but have not confirmed it or given a date they will confirm it. It's really important for my DS too - I can't believe they're dragging their feet and haven't been involved in the GCSE/A-level discussions.
