Year 13 stress

Are anyone's DCs feeling the stress yet for the final push?

At DD's school the students are starting to get snappy with each other and friendships seem to be fracturing all over the place. DD had been having trouble with one girl who just turns her back on her all the time. It turns out that the other girl didn't like DD getting better marks than her. DD isn't one to gloat BTW and keeps her results to herself unless anyone asks, but I think falling out with someone for that reason is rather immature.

Another one of her "friends" has decided to cut all contact with most of the people he is friendly with so he doesn't miss them when he goes to university. Personally I don't buy this excuse. He is just using it to be an arsehole.

Another girl is just being angry at everyone all the time and talks and talks all the time while DD is trying to study during her frees. There is no quiet room for her to go to.

And breathe.

Sorry, hadn't seen this before Lonicera. I think a lot of them are finding the idea that they are off to university soon very stressful. They have no idea how to manage what is a massive transition. Combined with exams and coursework and becoming more independent it's a nightmare.
