Art foundation - which are the good colleges in London, Midlands, South & SW of England

Hi! Any mumsnetters have any thoughts on where is a good place for my ds to apply to for an Art Foundation course after A Levels? We are looking for colleges/universities in London, S/SW of England and Midlands area. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I think a good number of those universities do not do Art Foundation courses. I believe UAL do and I would start there. They are a force in the art world and have several colleges. I think you need to trawl through the specific art colleges rather than places like Oxford and UCL which are obviously not what you are looking for. Some Foundation courses may also allow you to do a degree at the same institution as long as you do well on the Foundation. This may take some pressure off when applying for a degree and gives continuity.
