Anyone sucessfuly taught their child another language,??

My daughter is 20 months a big talker but more mumble than words at the moment has anyone sucessfully taught their lo a second langauge and if so how did you do it??? Im looking at french or spanish

Not sure why you've posted this in further education?!? My son grew up in France. We all spoke exclusively English at home but from age 18 months he went to a French childminder and then at 3 he went to a French nursery school. This resulted in him being bilingual. I suggest you get a French nanny/mother's help and let her speak to him in her own language all the time and that should work.
