What results did your dc get to get offers to study engineering at a Russell Group uni?

That's it really. My dd got BBC in her A/S exams and not sure if that's going to be good enough. Thanks for any feedback.

Post in Higher rather than Further education...

However just look at RG websites - their usual offers will be on there. If the AS subjects are new style linear ones they won't count towards the final grade.

Also look at courses with a Foundation Year.

you are looking at offers of A*AA or AAA realistically. depending on what type of engineering might go to ABB but haven't found any courses that are for example BBB.

has your dd looked into all of the STEM information? there are various things that she can do in yr 12 and 13 that would help her chances of being accepted with lower grades as well as some options on funding. there is a brilliant website for this.

What sort of Engineering? RG is likely to be AAA minimum but there are really good courses at the newer universities which have a year out in industry. These can be excellent. BEng courses are a slower route to becoming a Chartered Engineer but may offer lower A levels to get into the course as opposed to MEng courses which are more "fast track".
