And are there different ones?

Level 3 is what we are looking for really, but I'm struggling to search as "backstage stuff" doesn't seem to be suitable Wink

Try searching for either production arts or technical theatre. We run these at our FE college at Level 3

Theatre Production?

Depends what area of backstage, stage management, costume, technical manager, lighting, theatre designer, that might give you a few to get started with!Smile

If you give us an area maybe we can help you search?

That's a great help thanks

Last summer she was doing lighting, sound, moving props (packing & unpacking and transporting) & general dogsbodying in a small theatre

I have taught and worked in higher education for over ten years and before that worked and am qualified in costume design. The best advice I was given when I was starting out was to look at which degree I wanted to do and see what BTEC they accept for entry qualifications. Also look at career paths in theatre/film/TV and see where she might want to end up. Attend HE open days now as they can be a good source of finding out about different career paths. Hope this helps a bit! Good luck in your search Smile

She really enjoyed her summer job & got a fab reference from the guy in charge

His only complaint was when they went to the cafe it was embarrassing to order 3 full english & a panini

RADA have various technical theatre courses, I remember hearing about them at DD's audition. Obviously not a BTEC but another option maybe?
