Kinship/childrens panel/Safeguarder visit

Im looking for any information I can gather as me and partner are currently going through the kinship process also everything else that goes along with it like childrens panel and a Safeguarder visit in the next 2 days looks like our GS is coming to stay

You'll have an assessing social worker who will meet you weekly for 10 weeks or so then write a report with a positive or negative recommendation. There will be an interim recommendation which if positive will allow them to regulate you as foster carers for 16 weeks and you'll get a supervising social worker and payments. The child will also have an allocated social worker. All 3 have different roles.
when your assessment is complete if the local authority's care plan is for DC to stay with you under special guardianship or connected care long term then you'll be supported by your social worker to attend panel where a group of people will ask questions and make a recommendation for you to be a permanent carer. The court hearing will determine whether this care plan is approved legally.

Safeguarder came and she was really nice my SGS definitely gave her plenty to see her was really bad when she was in so she got to see how we dealt with him which I was happy about that ive done a I had a good look at the links thanks
