Fostering Medical Assessments and Reviews

I would be very interested to hear experiences regarding the whole medical assessment and review process. In particular but not restricted to:

Whether the CoramBAAF guidance is followed?

Whether your LA/IFA has a medical advisor and if not - how are decisions made?

How is the SENSITIVE data transmitted and stored?
Who has access to the Health Data?

Also any policies that anyone would be happy to share.

my IFA:

AH form send to applicant/carer to complete their section.
They then take to GP appointment and form is left with GP.
GP asked to send to agency via signed for post.
Agency send to medical advisor via signed for post.
Returned from Medical Advisor to agency by signed for post.

Paperwork scanned and saved onto our database.
paper copy into confidential waste.

applicants/carers log into database to view documents and can electronically accept/sign them on database.

can be seen by: carer, social worker, admin, manager.
