I hope you are well. I am writing to enquire about the possibility of your participation in my Community Research Project for my third year at University.
My name is Jordan Clark and I am currently studying Community and Social Care: Policy and Practice at the University of Central Lancashire. For my final year of studies I had the option to write a dissertation or complete a Community Research Project. I have opted to complete the project. I am particularly interested in fostering as a whole. However for my project, I have decided to research into the question of, ‘ARE THERE CURRENTLY ENOUGH MENTAL HEALTH PROVISIONS PUT IN PLACE FOR FOSTER CARERS IN THE UK’.
I am looking for around 30 participants in which each will be emailed/sent a survey with the possibility of semi structured interviews for a randomly selected 5 of the participants.
If this is something you would be interested in I am available to answer questions and/or send out information sheets on [email protected]

Thank you in advance.
Jordan

can i clarify whether you are exploring mental health provision for foster carers themselves or for their foster children ?

absolutely not and to be honest as we get a medical every 10 years i would be nervous to go and seek counselling as id be concerned how this would be viewed.

i do work for an agency and they have a therapist who has helped but as i am always fully aware that the therapist is paid for by the company i work for.
