Hi I was wondering if anyone can help? I am currently a registered foster carer with an agency, we are in the process of transferring over to our LA. We need to obtain permission to foster in our property from out tenant which is our local council, our agency dealt with all this the first time round. We have a large 3 bedroom property and two young biological children who share a room (boy and girl). Our housing officer has said that she needs to check whether fostering a child in our home contravene’s with our tenency agreement. Our social worker says she’s sure it does not but we will have to wait and see. I was wondering if anyone had experience of this? We really would love to transfer so I would be very disappointed if we were told no. Both times we were told about asking permission the social workers said you have to ask but they won’t say no. I’m just a little concerned it will be an issue.
