Returning to fostering after adopting

Has anyone returned to fostering after adopting one of the LO's fostered?
I know often LA's advise a break before returning though not sure if all enforce this so am interested in finding out. Also was it necessary to go through training/assesment again?

We adopted one of our LOs. At the time our agency insisted carers took a 12 month break from fostering. That was 4 years ago. They do still like carers who adopt to take a break but I do know of some carers who haven't. Our placements came to a natural end during our adoption assessment so we simply didn't take others. If carers have long term placements our LA don't move them.
We didn't have to do any training or further assessments. The day after we became available for fostering again we got a sibling group of 3.

Thanks for reply. I think our LA was a little uncertain about their policy but then decided to enforce the 12 month rule to make sure everyone was the same.
We may have to update our assessment, just waiting for confirmation. Great that you got straight back into fostering though a sibling group of 3 might be a bit much here...
