Info on RAF Brize Nprton pls!

Hey all, am posted to Brize in June. Have heard horror stories about quarters and have also been told by HIC that i'm 7th on list for a 3 bed and they have no quarters available!

Anyone know 'good' areas and what schools are like? Am looking at St John's, Brize Norton and St Peter's. Gateway seems to look ok but have heard bad things about Edith and Carterton. Any posts aprreciated, ta girlies.

There are 21, 3 bed detatched houses (Grade 3) in a village 10 miles from Brize. They are real houses built from bricks as opposed to the Pre-Fabs at Carterton/Brize) They dont seem to ever tell anyone about them.

Good local schools too.

On a brighter note re the houses at Carterton, the ones I have been in are alot nicer once inside. They do look dire from the outside though.

If you are SNCO or below you would be entitled to apply for one of the village houses. Is there anyway we can chat/message in private as I dont want to give too much info here online.
