the bit which says that Disturbance allowance doesn't pay for overnight accomodation overnight when you move, and also where exactly it says it can be claimed seperately?

Does this help?

I was going to say JSP 752 as well . That was the one DHn said you will get the nfo from .

I'll tell you what it is. When we moved, we had to find a B&B that would take a dog. Which we did, but DH has been told that because he booked it independently and not through the DF hotel lot, then he couldn't get his money back, even though it clearly states in JSPs that Disturbance doesn't cover overnight accomodation when moving to new unit.

Now, there's nothing on that JSP that says you ahd to book through the hotel booking lot. We ahve never booked through them and have got our money back, although not every time.

Can anyone shed any light on this?

According to my DH the bookings have to be made through the central booking thingy, or you are not able to claim the money back, apparently if you don't have the booking reference then it's not possible to complete the claim on JPA.
However, he doesn't know where this is all written down or whether it's a recent change. Sorry I can't be more help.

We didn't book a hotel thruogh Central Booking when we moved and managed to claim the money back through JPA. I don't know if this was because DH previous unit were all on POTL and then XMas leave though so nobody would book us anything?

Have had a look through the -exhaustive - list fo JPAs and it does say about getting a booking reference. But, as DH points out, it's not made claer at all, adn who is going to trawl throguh 700+ pages of JPA to look at it, certainly everyone he spoke to at work wouldn't/didn't know
