I just wanted to wish everyone who has an LO overseas, especially if they are in Helmand province, a very Happy peaceful Christmas. I hope it's not long before you see them again.

Also sending lots of respect and admiration to those staying here to look after family while their other half is away.

Look after yourselves and your loved ones.

Happy Christmas from here too.

(just popped into topic to start a thread and the reindeer beat me to it!)

Well, you said it all Ruby. Best wishes for Christmas and the New Year to you and your children. Hope you have your dearest back nearest as soon as possible.

And best wishes from me too - thinking of all who have loved ones deployed away, and sending much love to those who have lost their loved ones.

You beat me too it. To all those left at home, a very merry xmas and to all those away, we are thinking of you. Love a forces lady who has seen it from both sides and knows how hard it is for all concerned.

My dm very happy as db phoned from Afghanistan on Christmas Day, and we then saw him twice on the ITN news. She smiled all day.
