anyone had experience of going from infantry to MPGS??

Hubby is considering getting our after his tour of Afghan, He seems to be pretty set on the idea. He was lookin into MPGS. and i was just wondering if anyone's DH has done this?
Is there still accomodation etc for families?
and is there a huge pay drop or anythin?

He may well come home and it fizzles out. But i thought it'd be worth getting an idea of whats involved etc. in case he gets carried away with himself!! lol.

My DH has considered MPGS in the past, the pay is less, you are entitled to MQ - there are places all over the country where they can work, some places are more popular than others - there is no postings involved. Its shift work - standing on a gate/watching telly in guard room drinking brews..
