I just decided that I'd use a spare minute to put up the child safety gates that were provided with our MQ!!!!
And OH MY DAYS!!!! they were not only FILTHY and blatently about ten years old, but they were also really wobbly when I fitted them, (without instructions i hasten to add).
I swear, if i find anything else to moan about in my quater then I'll POP!!!! lol

I had a new electric shower fitted two days ago, after my existin one started sparking and blew up while i was in it. and the stingy beggars changed the shower unit but put my old hose and shower head on so they could use the new one for someone else! lol

I have draughty windows that shake in the wind, 5 non workin electric sockets, a broken fire, heating that turns itself on, a drain that wont let the water out of my dishwasher, light switches that turn on lights they aren't supposed to be connected to, and a huge damp patch in my bedroom ceiling..............

The sad thing is that this house is loads better than our last one!! I wont list the probs with that one. heeheehee .

I swear, between this flipin quater and my stupid husband i could rant all day!!!!

Hugs to all of you ladies out there

Ask for new ones from stores. They give you the top of the range Lindam ones, usually new in the box.

Thanks, I'm getting on the case today!!! I've gotta throw my problems at them one at a time i think. lol

You could of course buy your own! We did and they are far better than the ones you get. If you do get them from the stores, you are not allowed to put them at the top of stairs and you have to sign paperwork to that effect. Strange, but true.

Never heard of that Cheeky1Monkey?

Over in Germany, they make you sign a form to say that you wont use them at the top of stairs as some time ago, a mother fell down the stairs and the baby died as a result of the injuries.

Health & Safety is the reason behind it, so we are told.

Mercy2 · 03/02/2009 00:39

i was told that too hun!
Which is odd, as my quarter actually has a perminently fixed, hinged baby gate at the top of the stairs. When i told them this, the woman said, "no it hasn't". Like i had imagined opening it every day!!! lol.

I have to get my new gates by telephoning Glasgow,(I'm in N,I), then someone will come out and "inspect" my existing gates, before agreeing to have new ones supplied.

A big old palarva if you ask me. I went to Argos and got my own today!!! much quicker! lol.
I've still ordered the ones from Glasgow tho!!! I'm cheeky enough to have them in asspares! heehee. x x M x x
