DH is corporal in RAF. We are moving to MQs for the first time next year (I have always stayed put and let him come home to me at weekends - but this time he is posted to area where I can get work and we have no kids in highschool)

What do I need to know?

He has not applied yet to "people"

Advice?

We were at Halton 2004-6 and I was sorry to leave. MQs good, in my experience anyway, & lovely surroundings. I'd go back there anytime!

Oh thanks!

I gather there is more than one "patch" there? Can you recomend which is best? Or are they pretty similar?

OK - DH has filled in the forms. Looks like we will have MQs from the end of Jan as we are 3rd on the list and they have 6 lots leaving.

We have a place for my son at Halton Combined, and a nursery place for 4 days a week

It is all getting scarily close now.

I just have to find a job!!!!

Anymore news on a moving date?

Still waiting to hear from the DHE or whatever they are called.

Letter so far helpfully said you should hear in 15 days, but not to ring.

The letter was sent to us on 11 Dec.

We are giving it until Monday then chasing
